Chronic Stress and Yoga: Exploration Into the Joy of Yoga (Women*-identifying weekend!) with Jeannie Songer

Thursday, November 21- Sunday November 24

Join one of The Bhakti Yoga Movement Center’s most celebrated teachers in exploring the joys of yoga, at the Foundations level. Chronic stress alters the functioning of the nervous system, making it difficult to find ease in the body. This retreat is for anyone seeking a resting place for an over-worked immune system and a place to support the body in healing from long-term stress and its impact on physiology and health. Cultivation of energy coupled with supported restful yoga poses, breathwork, and meditation will help the body enter into its most healing state. Come allow yourself to practice resting, receiving, and holding kind space for your body to find its way back into balance.

There will be breathing techniques, basics of mantra and meditation, and good company. Retreat includes therapeutics and restorative practice as well as time to relax, hike, nap, and soak in the healing waters. Note that this retreat takes place during a women*-identifying only time at Breitenbush, and thus will be a women*-identifying only retreat.
